OUR CULTURAL HERITAGE: Sharing, comparing and learning
1)Traditional songs
We started presenting our cultural heritage through the rehearsal of a traditional song from each region. Later on, in December 2018, a group of students from each country performed them live using a Skype connection.

When the Spanish students travelled to Poland, a group of students from Strzyzowice school performed the song from El Bierzo, and the other way round when they visited Spain.

2)Cultural Heritage projects
Prior to the visit from either Spanish or Polish schools, the students did some investigation projects related to the most important sites the travelling group would visit.

3)Celebrating the Polish Independence Day.
In November we celebrate our national holiday- The Independence Day. Our school organizes The review of patriotic and soldiers' songs. On that day the representatives of local schools come to our place and sing songs. The songs full of hope are our heritage that reminds us our history.

4) First meeting in Poland
In December we have met teachers from our partnership school. We had a lot of fun but first of all we had a chance to find out intresting facts about Spanish cultural heritage.

During this visit, students had a chance to see how people used to live in villages ages ago and they could try themselves in preparing homemade butter while visiting the museum Pałac Mieroszewskich.

5) First meeting in Spain
In January Polish teachers travelled to Spain from our partnership school. Spanish students had the oportunity to know a bit more about Poland, their cultural heritage and its people.

6)Comparing mining industry
Both countries had many things in common, one of them was the history of mining. Apart from visiting an old coal mine during the mobility in Spain, the students had the opportunity to talk to a retired miner who showed them how they worked and the instruments they used to do it.

7) Traditional games
As part of our cultural heritage we also introduced some of our traditional games. Students learned how to play and they practised them when they met during the mobilities.
