OUR ENVIRONMENT
1)"Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle"
This is how we start observing and reflecting upon the importance of taking care of our environment. The students from both schools have written messages we have hung on our trees.

2)Recycling centres
After this reflection activity, we decided to create several recycling centres in the schools so that everybody can recycle organic, paper and plastic waste.
​
Apart from this, the students decided to organize the collection of recycled materials within the whole year. The action started in autumn and finished at the end of May. Two companies came to pick up the supplies of paper and bottle taps- the most popular and the most often used materials at school.

3)Getting to know our forests
We did several actions related to getting to know our forests to value and respect them.
In Cubillos del Sil, with the help and guidance of a local eco-farmer, the students walked up a hill near the school and got to know the great variety of trees and plants that surround the school and the importance of taking care of the soil where they grow.

4)BioEncina eco-farm
The students in Cubillos del Sil also visited BioEncina eco-farm and there they could perform different activities such as planting, pruning, grafting, feeding farm animals...and learning about how to take care of plants and animals.

5)Balloon Competition
Each year on the first day of spring the students from Strzyzowice organize a Balloon Competition with the Eco Fashion Show. We use recycle materials to create new clothes. We send the balloon into the air in order to motivate people to care about the environment.
